Job description
On farm, the Agricultural Equipment Operator will be responsible for fertilizing crops by applying manure in field. Duties will include: drive tractors/trucks and operate heavy farm equipment to apply and spray manure on to fields; agitate and transfer manure into lagoons or pits; lay hose from farm to dragline in field in safe and efficient manner; monitor high pressure hose and pump engines while transferring manure; hook up tank trailers to holding tan; utilize excavation equipment to close lagoons; clean and sanitize equipment as necessary; mow, cut, and weed fields; manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery; adjust speeds of cutters, blowers, and conveyors and height of cutting head; clean, adjust, repair, and perform routine service on equipment; and hauling shavings to farms.
Workers will be required to work on their feet, bend, stoop, lift, push/pull objects, perform repetitive movements, and carry items weighing up to 80lbs.
Special Requirements
The Agricultural Equipment Operator needs to be able to carry and lift a minimum of 80lbs. Additionally, the worker must be in good health to perform labor activities, no limitation to bend down or carry weight (under regulated laws or norms of weight and safety procedures), and no limitation on extensive sitting, walking, pushing, or pulling. Follow instructions correctly as well as company rules.
