Job description

Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: plant, position, maintain, stake, and other general care of plants; remove weeds; maintain and clean up landscaping, farm and fields; paint posts; lay, mend, fix and remove black tunnel plastic and drip tape; organize, clean and sanitize harvest tools, equipment and containers; operate tractors, vehicles, and forklifts to complete farm tasks on and between employer owned/operated worksites; hand harvest to quality standards tomatoes, peppers, sweet corn, garlic, squash, pickles, cucumber, melons, pumpkins, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, gourds, strawberries, and onions; packing/sorting activities to quality standards, including pack, clean, sort, and load produce and stack, repair, and assemble boxes and bins.

Pay will be hourly

Special Requirements

Job requires worker to complete tasks in General farm labor and hand harvest of Tomatoes, Peppers, Sweet Corn, Garlic, Squash, Pickling Cucumbers, Cucumbers, Melons, Pumpkins, Cabbage, Brussel Sprouts, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Gourds, Strawberries, and Onions. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties.

Experience Requirement: 2 verifiable months of fruit or produce commercial hand harvest experience required. Applicants must furnish job references from recent employers within the last 3 years establishing acceptable prior experience.

Drug testing done at employers expense and not utilized as a pre-employment tool.
