Job description

49 workers will be picking blackberries for Will Simpson, owner of Cross Creek Berries and Cattle LLC. Workers will be picking blackberries by hand according to shape, color, maturity level, and/or ripeness. Workers must be available to work the entire period. Workers must have good hand and eye coordination. Other duties may include but not be limited to field maintenance, laying mulch in fields, repairing irrigation lines, staking, and/or pruning in blackberry fields. Job requires extensive crouching when picking up blackberries. All tools will be provided at no cost to the workers. Pay rate will be on two different piece rates. Piece rate#1: $3.00 per box of 12 full 6-oz clam shells; Piece rate#2: $4.00 per box of 8 full 12-oz clam shells. Both piece rates have a minimum wage guarantee of $14.68 per hour; 40 hours per week. Workers must be able to lift 60 pounds.

100 workers will be picking blueberries for Robert Garrit, owner of Garrit Berry Farms LLC. Workers will be picking blueberries by hand according to shape, color, maturity level, and/or ripeness. Workers must be available to work the entire period. Workers must have good hand and eye coordination. Other duties may include but not be limited to field maintenance, staking, and all required maintenance in a blueberry farm. Towards the end of their employment period, workers will also be planting and preparing the fields for the next season. The pay rate will be the minimum wage guaranteed of $14.68 per hour; $3.25 per bucket; 40 hours per week. Workers must be able to lift 60 pounds. Job requires extensive crouching when picking up blueberries.

Special Requirements

Once hired, worker may be required to comply with random drug screen testing at employer's expense. Failure to adhere to this requirement or testing positive may result in immediate termination from employment.
