Job description
Instructs groups and individuals in the fundamentals of tennis. Provides training, direction, encouragement, motivation, and advice to members for games, lessons and events. Instructs members in rules, game strategies, and performance principles such as specific ways of moving the body, hands, or feet, to achieve desired results. Explains and enforces tennis rules and regulations. Demonstrates techniques and methods of participation. Plans, organizes, and conducts private lessons. Plans and helps manage tennis events and programs that will enable club to achieve maximum performance. Provides members with advice in pro shop on what equipment to use, and provides racquet services including stringing and re-gripping.
Anticipated days and hours of work per week: No less than 35 hours per week. Open seven days, include holiday. Hours of operation are 8am – 6pm. Daily shift days and hours vary depending on work demand.

Special Requirements
Six months of coaching experience. Coaching experience must be at a private club. Adult Coaching certificate from USPTA or PTR required. Must be a USRSA certified racquet stringing professional. Must be 18 years of age (at least); pass pre-employment background check (this a requirement for all full-time annual and seasonal positions and is applied to all applicants regardless of their national origin, race, or gender or visa status). Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
