Job description

EMPLOYEES WILL HARVEST, PICK, PLANT, PACK ON FIELD SITE, PRUNE, FERTILIZE, COUNT, LOAD AND UNLOAD CORN, POTATOES, BELL PEPPERS, TOMATOES, MELONS, CANTALOUPES, PUMPKINS, SQUASH AND GREEN BEANS. THEY WILL ALSO BE PULLING WEEDS, STAKING, STRINGING, RAKING, CLEANING AREAS AROUND THE FARMS AND BUILDINGS. OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE FIELD MAINTENANCE, CAMP SANITATION, LAYING IRRIGATION PIPE, DIGGING DITCHES, LAYING PLASTIC, PULLING PLASTIC, LOADING AND UNLOADING. THIS WILL ALL BE DONE UNDER EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS. HEAVY LIFTING, BENDING AND STOOPING WILL BE INVOLVED ON A DAILY BASIS.

HEAVY BENDING AND STOOPING
REPETITIVE MOVEMENTS
2 DAY TRAINING WITH EMPLOYER. The training period for all crop activities is 2 days starting with the first day of employment to acclimate the worker to the physical demands of farm work and to familiarize workers with the job specifications and to demonstrate proper harvest methods and other crop specific issues.
