Job description
Work involves planting and establishing new orchards and managing growing grape canes. The vineyard requires tying canes that are dormant to wire and this must be done before flower buds develop. Worker must tuck canes into the wire, pull leaves away from fruit clusters and remove suckers and rootstocks from base of vine and to tie dormant vines/canes to wire. Workers will prepare ground for planting, install trellis and tree posts by hand. Workers will plant trees by hand using shovels, then straighten and firm trees in the ground and level the soil. Install wire to support trees and tie wires to trees and supports. Install drip irrigation by hand, remove blossoms on non-bearing trees by hand, install bamboo supports for saplings and tie them in place. Workers will work with sharp instruments and cutting tools, occasionally operate equipment and should be able to lift 50 lbs.

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
