Job description
Perform duties on a farm for a farm like: Pilot will fly Cessna 188 for Great Plains Application,
Llc's farms by applying chemical and fertilizer to crops. Worker will also Fuel the plane by
connecting and disconnecting fuel hose to and from the airplane. Mix chemicals - Read and
understand a load ticket. Load the plane with chemical by connecting and disconnecting load
hose to and from plane. Load plane with fertilizer by driving and operating loader truck as well
as operate forklift. Clean all equipment daily. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant,
cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to
tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate
self-propelled combine.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Private Pilot's License (PPL), Commercial Pilot's License (CPL), Tailwheel Endorsement, and Pesticide Applicator License valid for Minnesota are required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
