Job description

Job requires tending to livestock in the forms of checking cattle multiple times a day,
feeding and maintaining mineral feeders, examining, watering, vaccinating, working,
and tagging cattle; calving cows and bred heifers, occasionally lifting and carrying
newborn calves, weaning calves from cows; operating various equipment related to the
care and including, but not limited to, tractors, mowers, non-CDL farm trucks, and
balers. Job also requires performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of
livestock related storage sheds, buildings, pens, and farm equipment; ensuring
operational areas for livestock care are organized and well maintained; using hand tools
and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and livestock
related agricultural equipment; regularly servicing equipment related to the care of
livestock; checking and repairing property boarders. There are few typical days and
workers may be required to change duties and/or engage in various general functions.
The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on
tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the
employer.

Special Requirements

Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, stooping, and bending.
