Job description

Field Walkers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. The Field Walker is responsible for assisting the Farm Manager and in supporting other farmworkers by ensuring they have the work equipment necessary to perform their jobs. The Field Walker may assist in monitoring the work of other farmworkers in harvesting the crop and performing other general farm activities as directed by the Farm Manager.
Under the direction of the Farm Manager, the Field Walker will walk through the rows to ensure there is no fruit left unharvested and assist other farmworkers in identifying which fruit should be harvested pursuant to the quality and quantity guidelines given by the Farm Manager.
Under the direction of the Farm Manager, Field Walker help ensure food safety requirements are met, ensures that the crew has enough packaging material, and will deliver additional materials to the crew as needed. The Field Walker may assist with driving tractors for field preparation and ensure that the workers have the required tools to perform their job.
Transports workers from employer-provided housing to the farms, from farm to farm and to get groceries. While operating a company vehicle during the period of employment the driver must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the United States or foreign equivalent license to operate the company vehicle in accordance with license restrictions and vehicle classification applicable to that license

Special Requirements

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS OR POSSESS A DOT MEDICAL EXAM THAT STATES THAT EMPLOYEE IS FIT TO DRIVE A BUS OR A PASSENGER VAN. BE ABLE TO OBTAIN OR POSSESS A FARM LABOR CONTRACOR LICENSE.
