Job description
Manually harvest and store potatoes. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, brooms, wheelbarrows, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Duties include cleaning, grading, sorting, racking, storing, and loading harvested products. Additional duties include cleaning work areas, storage areas and equipment. May place culverts in the potato storages for ventilation. Must be able to lift, pull and carry up to 75 pounds.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift, pull and carry up to 75 pounds. Employees will be exposed to temperatures ranging from 20 degrees - 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Job requirements will include extensive pushing or pulling and sitting or walking; frequent stooping or bending over; and repetitive movements. Employer will train.
Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening required. The employer will conduct drug testing on first day of the start of work and may conduct post-hire drug testing when there is reasonable suspicion of drug use or when an on-the-job accident has occurred in order to protect the life, health, and safety of all those who come in contact with the employee as well as the property and product of the employer. The employer will not conduct pre-hire drug testing, but if drug use is reasonably suspected post-hire then the employer will require a drug test at the employers expense.
