Job description

Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: plant, transplant, trim, spray, weed, prune, hoe, stake, maintain, and harvest to quality standards vegetable, fruit, and tree crops; trim, train, trellis, prune, thin and tie plants and fruit trees; prepare fields/soil for planting; lay plastic weed barrier; maintain equipment, fields, orchards, and farm property; general farm clean up tasks, including mowing grass; drive and operate tractor, forklift, and other farm equipment to perform farm tasks; drive employer provided vehicle to and from the worksite and to other locations; drive trucks to deliver employer’s product to market and storage locations; assemble, disassemble, operate and repair irrigation equipment; assemble, clean, maintain and repair bins, boxes, buckets, and containers; load/unload crops; press apples, grade, sort and pack produce to customer standards; maintain a clean packing area.

Special Requirements

Job requires worker to complete tasks in Farm Labor and Hand Harvest of Apples, Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cherries, Christmas Trees, Corn, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Green Beans, Herbs, Peaches, Pea Pods, Pears, Peppers, Plums, Pumpkins, Raspberries, Squash, Strawberries, Tomatoes, Wild Flowers and Zucchini, and Packing of Apples. Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties.

Experience Requirement: 3 months of verifiable hand harvest experience in tree fruit required. Applicants must furnish job references from employers within the last 5 years establishing acceptable prior experience.
Drug testing done at employers expense and not utilized as preemployment tool.
