Job description
Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Maintain heated watering system.
Operate snow removal equipment in order to operate feed wagons. Operate Manure truck.
Operate feed truck, feed wagon, loader tractor, pay-loader, skid steer, and box scrapper.
Gathering, processing, and distributing the feed for the cattle. Mix feed and additives, fill feed
troughs with feed and water for livestock; remove ice formed in water. Processing calves as
they come into the feedlot. Keep feeding area free of debris and manure. Reading ration
sheets. Knowledge of loading and unloading cattle from semi-trailers. Clean livestock stalls and
sheds using disenfectant solutions, brushes and shovels. Maintain buildings. Maintain feeding
and cost records.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30
days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme
temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional
work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
