Job description
Crops: Alfalfa, Oats, Corn, Milo, Grass
Workers will assist with harvesting hay, grass and forages for feed and operate multiple different pieces of agricultural equipment for cutting raking and baling hay for feed. Operate a spraying machine or tractor and spraying equipment to kill weeds in crops. May engage in some light repair work of existing fencing around crops to protect them from being trampled using various hand tools such a hammers, nails, screwdrivers, pliers, saws, etc. Will use various pieces of equipment to spread fertilizer in dry, liquid, and animal manure forms. Will operate harvest and support equipment for corn, small grains, silage, and haylage. Will mow weeds with a rotary mower machine or lawn mowing machine/weed eater around bin, site house yards, outbuildings, and various other places at the worksite. Workers will be expected to assist with washing, waxing, changing oil, greasing, and doing general maintenance on all the equipment on the farm. Will operate equipment such a tractors, small trucks, and other vehicles used to transport materials from one location to another on the farm. Operating gravel hauling equipment to haul gravel or dirt around outbuildings, bin sites, and house yards. Will scrape manure into a pile to load it with a payloader or other manure support equipment to haul to the cropland. Assist in planting of crops with use of planting equipment, corn planter, air seeder, etc. and helping by loading seed and fertilizer into the planter tender, grain truck, or trailer. Will do work with multiple types of tillage equipment, high-speed, tillage, tools, discs sweeps, harrows, etc. Will assist with fixing and maintaining water lines and water equipment for irrigation and spraying. Pick up rocks and other debris with skid loader or other rock picking equipment. Helping operate grain harvesting equipment and support equipment for summer and fall harvest. Help with hauling different varieties of grain from field to elevator or elevator to headquarters. Doing dirt work, adding culverts and crossings between fields and or canals/creeks to make it safer and more efficient to get to crop ground.

Workers must have a valid, insurable drivers license or be eligible to apply for same at no cost to the worker.
