Job description

Duties include weeding and thinning chili fields using hoes and knives; hand harvest green chili (with and without stem) and clipping onions using clipping shears. For chili, workers will use a 10-gallon buck that needs to be filled with chili and carried across the field to the trailers to be dumped (full bucket weighs between 50-60 pounds). For onions, workers will use buckets or baskets to fill a 4x4 bin. Tie irrigation tape to plants as needed. Harvest pecans.

Must be able work in all types of weather conditions; Daily or weekly work schedule may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer will notify workers of any changes to start time.
Drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free work zone. The use or possession or being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol during the contract time is prohibited. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination.
Employer may request to conduct drug and alcohol screening tests if accidents happen or unusual behavior anytime during the contract period. All expenses will be paid by employer.
No cell phones while working.
Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath.
