Job description

Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding,
grazing, castrating, branding, catching, and loading animals; Mix, grind, deliver, move
feed/feedstuffs to cattle to supplement diet; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to
detect diseases and injuries; Administer medications, vaccinations, shots, oral wormers, pour
on wormers, etc. as appropriate; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Inspect, maintain,
prepare, and repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Move livestock from
one location to another; Clean water tanks, pens; Manipulate controls to set, activate, and
adjust machinery; Operate or tend self-propelled equipment and implements (much of which
are equipped with John Deere GPS) used in agricultural production such as tractor, tillage tool,
combine, grain cart, etc. for duties such as fertilizing, planting, weeding, harvesting, storing
crops such as wheat, cotton, corn; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or
underfilling and drive to market or storage facilities; Operate center pivot and drip irrigation to
irrigate soil/water crops.

Special Requirements

Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to
obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75
lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing
positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination
from employment.
