Job description
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties related to the grading/sorting of seed potatoes.
Duties will include the following responsibilities: operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, skid steers, and sorting tables; use knife to cut potato into sections; place potatoes on machine that cuts potatoes into sections; push button to start machinery; tend/monitor machine to insure proper movement of product; hand separate diseased/rotting/inferior product and foreign material from produce while being conveyed to/from trucks (includes, but is not limited to, dirt clods, rocks, grass, vines, weeds, etc.); sort potatoes on conveyor belts/tables according to grade/color/size/weight/condition; report malfunctions; place produce in containers or on designated conveyors; move catch barrels when full and dump into skid steer for removal from work area; select cappers; comply with GAP policies and regulations; perform general cleanup of yard, work site, conveyors, and equipment; operate Spudnik potato handling equipment to include but not limited to pilers, sorters, and conveyors; drive load/unload farm trucks; perform repairs and maintenance on potato handling equipment; clean, sweep, and mop warehouse storage areas; sanitize warehouse, crates, and boxes; repair warehouse walls, doors, floors; workers possessing the proper licensure may be asked to transport other farm workers.
Special Requirements

Job duties may also require extensive standing.
