Job description
Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements.
Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems.
Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.
Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users.
Undertake other duties assigned (e.g., repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles, etc.)
Keep logs of work and report on issues.
Special Requirements
Minimum of twelve months verifiable experience required.
Work in the workshop will require workers to be able to lift tools, equipment and items up to 60 lbs. Work is physical and manual labor and workers will at times perform duties that requires extensive pushing, sitting and pulling, frequent stooping or bending over or movements might be repetitive.
The Nebraska winters are harsh and extremely cold with freezing temperatures. Workers will be exposed to these conditions when repairs need to be done on farm vehicles that has breakdowns outside and workshop can get very cold during the winter months.
