Job description

Temporary full-time position. 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Job responsibilities include: Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Perform a variety of tasks in the installation and maintenance of small- and large-scale landscape projects, which may include, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, blowing leaves, weeding, mulching, sod laying, hauling and spreading top soil, sprinkler installation and repair, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units in both residential and commercial settings. All work is performed outdoors during all types of weather conditions.

Overtime is not expected or guaranteed, but if worked, rate is paid at time and a half per hour above 40 hours per week. Work will be performed in multiple worksites within the following areas: Hillsborough County (Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Riverview, Lithia, Valrico, Plant City) and Pasco County (Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Wesley Chapel). Daily transportation provided to and from area worksites at employer’s expense from employer’s place of business [18620 Gunn Highway] in Odessa, FL. Housing will be offered by employer at a low cost ($100.00 / week) – optional.

On-the-job training is provided.

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift 75 lbs and perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 75 lbs. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat. Variable weather conditions apply.
