Job description
Take orders and serve food and beverages to patrons at tables in dining establishment. Check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take actions to correct any problems. Collect payment from customers. Write patrons food orders on order slips; memorize orders, or entire orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff. Prepare checks that itemize meal costs and sales taxes. Take orders from patrons for food or beverages. Check patrons identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. Serve food and beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required. Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request. Clean tables or counters after patrons have finished dining. Prepare hot, cold and mixed drinks for patrons, and chill bottles of wine.
Shifts vary and range from 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM. (Will work weekends, holidays, split, and rotate shifts.)
Please note: Under the anticipated days and hours of work per week, we entered 7 hours per day because our business is open 7 days a week. But a worker will not work everyday. A worker will work 35 hours per week and will work weekends, split, and rotate shifts.
Special Requirements
Training not required but is offered if necessary. EMPLOYER WILL CONDUCT DRUG TESTING/SCREENING POST OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT AND PRE-HIRE.
