Construction Laborer

Job description

Perform tasks involving physical labor to move/install factory built homes. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble and debris. Perform framing, roofing, sheetrock, subfloors, light painting, texture, wood work, spread gravel, lay grass/sod, drainage installation, irrigation and planting. Dig holes using hand tools or equipment with a max depth/width of 3 ft. Involves sitting, standing and stretching on a frequent basis. Involves loading and unloading tools and supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Involves working outdoors in all types of weather. Involves frequent stooping or bending. Possibility of performance based raise, bonuses, overtime and Saturdays as required. Transportation provided to multiple worksites from central location in Alvarado, TX. 60 minutes of unpaid breaks throughout the day. Daily hours may vary between start and end times listed depending on weather or job assignments.
