Job description
Job duties include the operation of equipment to perform manure mulching duties, compost manure, perform pipeline construction, and irrigation set up at the farm location. Equipment that employees will operate to perform these duties include but are not limited to mulcher, track hoe, backhoe, trencher, manure spreader, etc. Employees will also perform manual labor such as maintenance on equipment, shoveling manure, moving dirt as needed, reeling wire and piping, and cleaning equipment and shop/farm structures as needed. Duties also include paperwork and record keeping of cost of production, and collect manure used for fertilizer for irrigation pivots. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on weather and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
Special Requirements
Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, or repetitive movements.
