Job description

Work is approximately M-F 4:00am to 2:00pm with a 30 minute meal break or 2:00pm to 12:00 am with a 30 minute meal break (each worker will work only one shift per day). Operate farm vehicles/equipment like combines, harvesters, and similar agricultural equipment. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Workers will perform agricultural duties like harvesting and manual labor incidental to farming operations. Manual labor to cut sugarcane from its growing position on farm, and gather sugarcane after it is cut. Work tools, equipment and supplies are employer provided. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. All tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned are provided to the worker, without charge or deposit. Hours may fluctuate due to weather conditions or mechanical breakdowns but will not reduce the 3/4 guarantee over the life of the contract. Housing is provided at no cost for workers who cannot reasonably return to permanent residence at end of workday. Once hired, workers may be required to take a random drug test (at no cost to the worker), as part of fitness for duty and workers safety. Drug testing relates to safety assurance in a working environment. Testing positive or failure to comply with the random drug testing may result in immediate termination from employment. Possibility of work breakdown will not reduce workers guarantee over the life of the contract.
