Job description

Seasonal workers are needed to operate equipment for grain row crop planting, cultivating, harvesting and transporting. Workers must be attentive to detail and alert to the combine operator and their surroundings, be willing to learn how to operate the grain bin systems and/or grain elevators. Workers must be able to be left alone in the field to work ground with a tractor and tillage machine. Workers will maintain and repair machinery when required and keep farm equipment neat and orderly. Workers will operate hay mowers, rakes and balers, must be able to haul hay from field to field and be able to regularly lift 50lbs. Workers will assist with feeding cattle in the mornings and checking fence rows for damage or threats. Workers must use respect and care for tools, property and each other.

Some workers with drivers licenses may operate trucks to transport grain from employers field to employers grain hopper (Non CDL).

Special Requirements

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
