Job description
Operate stationary equipment such as bale press to perform post-harvest tasks such as
ginning; record weights and other identifying information including weight of bale and seed;
Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery; Guide products on
conveyors to regulate flow through machines; Drive and control equipment to support
agricultural activities such as ginning; Load and unload crops in the field; Maintain inventory;
Drive truck with trailer to haul crops such as cotton bales or modules to or from storage;
Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions; Daily upkeep and
cleaning of equipment while ginning; During times of peak need and depending on weather or
crop conditions, hours requested may increase to up to 12 hours per day; Work at night may
be requested; Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath.
Special Requirements
Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry
supplies. Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test
at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate
termination from employment. Lift up to 50 lbs.
