Job description

We will conduct our feedlot activities Sept. – July working with labor levels increasing due to the additional hands-on duties involved. I am seeking 4 workers to help with seasonal duties, which include herding/gathering cattle, administering necessary procedures such as castrating, vaccinating, branding (to identify ownership and grade using brands), weighing animals on scales, catching, and loading animals onto trucks or enclosures. At this time cattle are sold and shipped to large commercial feedlots.

Workers will be expected to maintain the work area where tasks are being conducted. This need is temporary as we only prepare the cattle in preparation for shipping. Duties include castrate, brand, and vaccinating our cattle once a year. During the other months of the year, our foreman, can attend to the needs of the cattle that do not require individual care.

Did you know that... most J-1 workers who work more than 40 hours a week

(and in some states, more than 8 hours a day), can get paid "time and a half?"
