Job description
Under close supervision of Kitchen Supervisor, the Dishwasher will:
1. Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans, using dishwashing machines or by hand. Scrape food debris from plates. Operate various types of dishwashing machines and drying racks. Check and monitor wash waters for clarity and sanitizing ability. Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas. Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pick-up areas. Sweep, mop, and scrub floors. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition. Clean garbage cans with water or steam. Receive and store supplies. Stock supplies, such as food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators. Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas. Clean or prepare various foods for cooking and serving.
2. Must be able to reach overhead and work in various positions including, but not limited to standing for extended periods of time.
3. Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
At least 35 hrs per week. Mon – Fri. 7:00am – 3:00pm (schedule varies: Employees will work 5 days per week Sunday through Saturday,7-hour shift between hours of 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Days off TBD (per worker preference/employer need).
