Job description

Take care of maintenance on the lodge, painting, chinking, caulking windows and doors, sanding and refinishing cabins, do light plumbing work, help on small construction projects like possibly building hunting stands, maintaining the trap throwers, spraying weeds, fertilizing the lawns and fields surrounding the lodge, mowing the grass, weedeating, pulling weeds, and maintaining plants at the lodge and grounds. In the fall and winter, the worker will become a guide for hunters, taking them out to stands, sitting with them and helping them recover animals if they are successful. The worker will also be helping on the marketing side of the lodge, helping on the website to upload pictures, help with design, and anything that may pertain to the website. Another duty is cleanup after events which can include normal housekeeping like sweeping and mopping the floors, cleaning windows, cleaning the rooms, bathrooms, and all laundry of the sheets and towels. The restocking of toilet paper, paper towels, and any other items that are used will also be a responsibility of this worker. Snow removal in the winter is also the responsibility of the worker to ensure safe sidewalks and driveways for guests. This will be done with a skid steer on the driveway and by a snow shovel on the sidewalks and porches. Daily checklists are made so that each cabin and building is inspected after storms and rain to make sure that there are no leaks, limbs on the roofs, or any other damages.

Special Requirements

Must pass a pre-employment, post-incident drug testing applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Must be at least 18.
