Job description

Hands on manual labor at golf course construction sites, working on staking/layout, drainage, bunkers, finishing, greens and tees, operating equipment, etc.; informs crews of the day's planned activities and equips crews with necessary tools and materials; instructs, supervises, and trains crews in assigned tasks, such as irrigation installation, tee and bunker creation, sodding, seeding, staking/flagging, operating and maintaining equipment; manages inventory of equipment, supplies and materials, and fuel; identifies and eliminates potential waste that may occur during performance of assigned tasks, including material waste such as irrigation heads, irrigation pipe and wire, gravel and greens mix; ensures assigned equipment and tools are properly maintained through performance of routine preventative maintenance; assists in maintaining project records such as delivery tickets, purchase orders, safety meeting rosters; assists in creating as-built drawings; and reports potential problems to the Project Superintendent.

WORK IS GENERALLY PERFORMED MON - FRI 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, BUT WEEKENDS AND OT MAY BE NECESSARY DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER.

Special Requirements

Certification as a Certified Pipe Fuser by a recognized vendor, such as CMF Global, ISCO, Ewing Irrigation or ADS.
12 months of experience in golf course construction and renovation. Willingness to perform OT, as necessary.
