Job description
Landscapers will maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, grass trimmers, and pruning shears. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Workers may operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, skid steer loaders, and mini excavators. Workers may assist with yard clean up, leaf removal, mulch or replace mulch, and leaf cleanup. In preparation for the winter season, workers will be performing job site clean-up and ensuring equipment is properly stored for the colder months. Workers will also perform overseeding to prepare for possible frost season, including applying fertilizer treatment to bushes, tress, and other natural flora. Workers will perform winter cutbacks on plants in order to properly prepare lawn/landscape for winter weather and new growth in the Spring. Maintain irrigation systems for flower beds, including winterizing the systems before temperature drops for possible frost season to prevent damage. Employer provides 90 days of training.
Special Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. for 75 yards throughout the day. Ability to pass random or post-accident drug screening paid for by Employer.
