Job description

Thirty-five (35) temporary full-time Ground Person positions available for employment beginning October 1, 2024 and continuing through April 30, 2025, working day shift with forty hours work provided weekly - Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm, at $24.14 per hour, with optional overtime offered regularly at $36.21.

No previous training, experience, or education are required, nor is any on-the-job training required, as clear and simple instructions are given onsite by supervising crew leaders.

Ground Persons help collect debris and branches from storm damage. Ground Persons perform ground-level pruning and trimming, also collecting and hauling out debris, as well as applying protective mulch, and using the chipper; also loading and unloading crew vehicles. Ground Persons also weed, rake, dig, plant, and water.

The position is entry-level and non-agricultural. Ground Persons attend a daily Safety Briefing.
