Job description

Arrange to pick up particular members and guests on a regular schedule.
Check the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order.
Communicate with managers by phone to exchange information and receive requests for passenger service.
Complete accident reports when necessary.
Comply with traffic regulations to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
Drive privately owned shuttle buses to transport members and guests to all three private clubs.
Follow relevant safety regulations and state laws governing vehicle operation, and ensure that passengers follow safety regulations.
Maintain knowledge of first-aid procedures.
Notify company mechanics of vehicle problems.
Operate vehicles with specialized equipment, such as wheelchair lifts, to transport and secure members and guests with special needs.
Perform errands for customers or employers, such as delivering or picking up mail and packages.
Perform minor vehicle repairs, such as cleaning spark plugs, or take vehicles to mechanics for servicing.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance, such as regulating tire pressure and adding gasoline, oil, and water.
Pick up and drop off members and guests at regularly scheduled club locations, following strict time schedules.
Pick up or meet members and guests according to requests, appointments, or schedules.
Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of members or trips, hours worked, mileage driven, fuel consumed, or fares received.
Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for members' comfort.
Report any vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs.
Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations using telephones or mobile two-way radios.
Test vehicle equipment, such as lights, brakes, horns, or windshield wipers, to ensure proper operation.
Vacuum and clean interiors, and wash and polish the exteriors of automobiles.

Special Requirements

Must meet health requirements for the Department of Transportation physical examination. Must possess a valid Florida drivers license and must have or be able to obtain a CDL type C or passenger endorsement.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical equipment. The employee may frequently work with toxic or caustic chemicals such as petroleum products, degreasers, gas fumes, cleaning products, and sprays. The employee also works in outside weather conditions and can be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. The noise level in the work environment can usually be loud and occasionally very loud.
The employee regularly sits for long periods of time. Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls and repeat the same movements. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to be able to hear conversations in quiet and noisy environments.

Typical hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm and 1:30am - 9:30pm. the specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and business level. Must be able to work all shifts. The business is open 7 days per week, and weekend and holiday work will be required. A minimum age requirement of 18 years of age.
