The position supervises other workers: 47-2061: Construction Laborers and 47-3011: Helpers—Brickmasons, Blockmasons, Stonemasons, and Tile and Marble Setters

Responsible for managing masonry craftwork required for specialized construction project to renovate a commercial property currently listed with the National Register of Historic Places. Ensuring masonry aspects of project satisfy all city building codes and requirements while meeting NHL historic registry requirements. Coordinate and oversee all brick, block, and concrete work, including: completion of masonry installations and finishes; inspection work progress, equipment, and site plans to ensure historic landmark specifications are met; confer with technical personnel and contractors to maintain construction plans and schedule; check and set forms holding concrete to the desired pitch, depth, and alignment; clean and finish brick and concrete structures; mold expansion joints and edges; arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery; and provide guidance assistance to workers performing masonry work. Perform other similar, related duties as necessary.

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs. Must be able to obtain a state driver's license.
