Job description
Employees must have experience operating farm equipment such as tractors, trucks, skid-loaders, and forklifts. Employees must have some mechanical experience and knowledge of how to use a variety of tools for the repair and maintenance of farm equipment. Employees will also clean farm equipment. Employees will also perform various tasks in the potato plant. This includes stacking bags up to 50-pounds, shrink wrapping stacked potatoes, assembly of bins, boxes and other packing materials. cleaning the plant and equipment, inspection of incoming potatoes during harvest, removal of dirt and debris and operating packaging equipment. Employees will clean harvest trucks, operate bin piler to pile incoming potatoes, drive truck in field under harvester and transport potatoes from storage to the plant.
Special Requirements
We need employees who are able to communicate in English and have a valid drivers license. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Employer will conduct post hire drug test at no cost to the employees to enforce a drug free workplace. Failing drug test will result in termination. Require 3 months of farm or potato experience.
