Job description

Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Job duties will be operating farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, and store grain crops, sweet potatoes, produce, pasture & rangeland. Workers will load, unload, and transport dry fertilizer. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive, operate, or use the following farming equipment and tools: self-propelled combine, 4x4 Tractor, Front wheel assist tractor, 2wd tractor, forklift, tele handler, backhoe, track hoe, crane, lift truck, fuel truck, semi-truck, 1 ton truck, 2 ton bob truck, pickup truck, ATV side by side, bulldozer, plasma cutter, drill, lathe, air seeder, twin row planter, single row planter, 3 pt. drill, field cultivators, Kelley tool, land plain, dirt buggy, dike plow, roller, mower, 3pt. blade, grain cart, roll a cone, chisel plow, multi grater, welder, torch, misc hand tools. Workers will perform a variety of duties such as lubricating and repairing farm machinery and driving grain trucks to trasnport crops to elevator or storage area. CDL required to haul using Kenworth trucks, International trucks with hopper bottom trailers, and Freightliner Auger truck with conveyor belt.

Special Requirements

Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30-90 days of hire. Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. Must have 3 months experience in harvesting and hauling grain crops. All tools, supplies, and equipment will be provided at no cost to workers. Must be 18 years or older. The company may conduct a criminal background check on new employees at the employer's expense. No minimum education required. Minimum of 3 months experience operating farm machinery, planting, cultivating, and harvesting grain crops. The majority of the workday is spent on one's feet and outdoors. Workers may stand in one place for any period of time. Workers must be able to climb, stand, sit, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, bend (from the waist), push, pull, reach, and lift, extensive walking. Work is performed in outdoor agricultural fields and involves exposure to sun, wind, rain, soil, mud, dust, heat, cold, and other natural elements.
