Job description
Perform tasks that involve physical labor on construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: jackhammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clear and prepare sites, dig trenches, place braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clear rubble, rubble, and other waste materials.

Special Requirements
The general construction worker works on open construction projects, so he is exposed to variable weather conditions, constant sun exposure and high temperatures. It is necessary for him to be able to sit, stand, walk for long periods of time, on uneven surfaces.
