Job description

Duties: Responsible for cleaning and preparing raw fish according to traditional Japanese sushi and sashimi style; cooking and preparing Japanese food; make sushi rolls, and sashimi plates; and ensure freshness of food, ingredients, and raw materials by checking for quality.

Rate of Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly. Overtime is available at $25.50 - $27.00 per hour. Additional, optional benefits may be offered to worker, for worker’s sole benefit, including but not limited to medical, dental and vision insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401k, and life insurance. If voluntarily elected by worker, employee costs/contributions for benefits will be deducted from paycheck.

Special Requirements

Requirements: Six (6) months of experience in a sushi preparation environment required. On-the-job training is provided. Applicant must provide Pre-employment Criminal Background Check and Pre-employment Drug Test is required.

Shifts: Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Shift hours may vary.
