Job description

Job duties include but is not limited to:
Feeding, watering, herding, castrating, branding, weighing, catching, and loading animals
Examining animals to detect diseases and injuries
Assisting in birthing, administering medications, vaccinations, or insecticides
Maintaining winter animal housing areas; using diggers, shovels and other equipment needed
Ongoing maintenance includes cleaning, maintaining and repair of equipment, various workshop tasks as well as maintenance of grain bins and general buildings
Use of various farm and cattle specific farming equipment - tractor & feed wagon
Assist with haying and some row crops
Assist with grain hauling and handling of grain

Special Requirements

Three (3) months minimum verifiable experience required.
Worker must obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days following hire.
Some job duties require physical and manual labor. Worker will be required to sit, push, pull or walk intensively, frequently stoop or bend over to perform tasks, and some movements might be repetitive.
Nebraska's weather can be harsh during the winter months and workers will be exposed to extreme cold and freezing temperatures and sometimes blizzards.
