Snow Removal Laborers will perform the following specific duties:
• Remove snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots using hand-held shovels, walk-behind snow blowers, and ice melt spreaders.
• Apply de-icing materials using hand-held and push spreaders.
• Perform snow and ice removal from building entrances, sidewalks, and other
pedestrian areas using shovels and ice chippers.
• Drive company vehicles (Ford F-150 pickup trucks) between job sites to transport
equipment and materials within a 90-mile radius of the company headquarters.
• During non-snow periods, perform leaf removal using rakes, leaf blowers.
• Load and unload materials for grounds maintenance, including salt, sand, and other
ice melt products.

Equipment Utilized:
• Hand-held shovels
• Walk-behind snow blowers
• Ice melt spreaders (hand-held and push models)
• Ford F-150 Pickup trucks
• Ice chippers
• Leaf blowers and rakes

Vehicle Operation:
Laborers will drive company vehicles, Ford F-150 pickup trucks, between job sites. They
will not plow public streets

Laborers needed for snow removal season, must be available on call for snow removal at commercial and residential property locations.

Laborers will use a shovel and snowblower, and ice melt spreader.

Shifts will depend on the time and amount of the snowfall. Lift up to 50 lbs.

Other duties as needed: leaf removal, load/unload materials for grounds maintenance, de-icing, removal of snow from walks, driveways and parking lots. Laborers may drive vehicle.

This position is for 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, however may vary days or times to accommodate inclement weather.

Laborers must have driving license class C to drive trucks between the worksites to bring maintenance materials within Scott County in the state of Iowa and Rock Island County in the state of Illinois.
