Job description
Job requires previous work experience with cattle and/or livestock, grazing and herding. Employees will be feeding, handling, tending to livestock health measures, administering medicine; building and repairing fencing; welding; performing repairs around the shop and on equipment; performing carpentry work and general repairs; grain and feed storage; handling and transporting hay; moving cows; cleaning fence rows; and other various manual labor. Duties include operating various equipment necessary to livestock, construction equipment for the livestock operation along with semi trucks to transport cattle, ATVs, chainsaws, welding machine, grain and feed handling equipment, and livestock trailer. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
Special Requirements
Applicant must have or be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire, 3 months experience, and basic literacy, reading and math skills are required. Random drug testing occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may be performed to ensure a safe housing and work environment for all workers.
