Job description
Job requirements include grinding hay; maintaining and repairing hay grinder as needed; and winterizing equipment. Employees will also work the feedlot by operating various tractors and equipment to maintain the feedlot; maintaining and repairing feedlot water systems; maintenance and repair of feedlot equipment; snow and ice removal in the feedlot and alleyway; breaking ice in pasture water systems; cleaning, welding; maintaining pasture borders; repairing and cleaning waste from winter holding locations. Duties also include engine repairs; feed truck operation and maintenance; payloader operation and maintenance; and mixing rations when needed. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
Special Requirements
Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, stooping, or bending. Random drug testing may occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may be performed to ensure a safe housing and work environment for all workers. Positive drug test results or refusal to comply with testing may result in termination of employment.
