Job description
General worker needed for rice & crawfish farm. Work includes tractor driving, field prep, water maintenance, fertilizing, plant and harvest of rice. Field prep includes manual shovel work and hoeing of weeds, spot spraying treatments and general farm labor. Help repair and maintain driers, equipment, farm, field, levees, roads and shop. Crawfishing involves manually cutting up of fish bait, bait and check traps, repair traps as needed. All tools, supplies & equipment furnished at no cost. Housing provided on premises at no cost. Transportation & subsistence expenses to the worksite will be paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract. Job involves frequent stooping, lifting requirement of 40lbs., repetitive movements and working outside in inclement weather. Employees may make above hourly wage and or receive bonuses based on work performance and experience, may be subject to random drug screen paid by employer upon hire or if suspicions arise--this is a drug free work zone. Must have legal authority to work in U.S.
