Job description
Feeding cows round hay bales in bale feeders and bale processor. Remove all twine and net wrap from hay bales. Feeding feedlot calves grain and hay. Walking through cattle to keep good dispositions. Checking all water for issues like freezing up , chop ice and move wind break panels to protect cattle. Moving snow for cattle and around facilities for cattle loading and hauling cattle to and from pasture and feedlots and sale barns. Taking care of health of all cattle, vaccination etc. Haul hay for cattle to yards. Help GP cows, de-lice and de-worm all cattle. Maintain corrals and fences for cattle. Assist calving cows during calving season. Maintenance for equipment used to feed and care for cattle. Spread straw as bedding for cattle, clean barns - haul manure. Grind oats and corn for feedlot cattle, minerals / salt - all cattle.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Employment may be terminated for the following reasons: Repeated absenteeism or tardiness. Violation of safety protocols. Failure to perform job duties satisfactorily. Misconduct or insubordination. Substance abuse on the job and operating machinery and vehicles.
