Job description

Job requires tending to livestock in the forms of feeding, examining, tagging, sorting, and herding; operating various equipment including, but not limited to, front loaders and trucks with goose-neck cattle trailers connected; conducting the repair and maintenance of farm equipment used specifically for the care of livestock and livestock enclosures; regularly cleaning and servicing livestock specific equipment; mixing feed; lifting bags of mineral and hay bales; spraying cattle for flies and other pests; calving cows and bred heifers, occasionally lifting and carrying newborn calves, and weaning calves from cows. Daily duties may vary depending on livestock and weather conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Special Requirements

Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, or repetitive movements.
