Job description

Farm help needed-feed cattle, check cows and water, help with routine winter farm chores
including cleaning and maintenance of equipment and buildings; Attend to live farm, ranch
animals that may include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, castrating,
branding, catching, and loading animals; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to
detect diseases and injuries; Assist in birth deliveries; Administer medications, vaccinations, or
insecticides as appropriate; Clean and maintain animal housing areas; Inspect, maintain,
prepare, and repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Provide mineral to
cattle grazing rye pasture; Move livestock from one location to another manually or using
trucks or carts.

Special Requirements

Be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, humidity, wind, cold. Lift and carry supplies.
Follow instructions. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the
worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license within 30 days following hire and obtain clean
driving record to be able to operate company vehicle. Lift up to 50 lbs.
