Job description

Employees will be maintaining cattle herd health. During this period when cattle are confined employees will need to feed the cattle and keep water wells working properly. Builds & cleans corrals/shelters as needed. Vaccinate, administer medication and do pregnancy check cows. Assist with sorting, weighing, branding and low stress handling. Maintain all electric fences, corrals, buildings, improvements and livestock equipment used for proper cattle management and observe safe practices. Must have knowledge of installing and repairing of electric fences and cattle handling.

Special Requirements

Require a regular driver's license to drive a pickup truck and trailer to haul and transport animals to corrals and veterinary clinic if needed. Must be able to lift a calf of 100 lbs or more. Job requires repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling, walking and frequent stooping. Require 3 months experience.
