Job description
Job duties include preparing scale tickets, monitoring to ensure compliance with moisture and grade standards; operation for transferring grain to proper storage location; transporting grain from elevator as required and transferring grain from storage bins to truck bins prior to transport; operating augers and conveyors; clearing grain from automatic conveyor system that is causing jams, stoppages, or gaps in grain movement; performing housekeeping duties to ensure that storage locations are properly maintained; performing maintenance & minor miscellaneous repair on augers, grain bins and other tools involved with the storage of grain. Workers may be required to operate machinery for storage facility maintenance and farm trucks (no CDL required). Must be able to climb vertical grain leg. Daily duties may vary depending on crop and weather conditions.
Special Requirements
Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required.
