Job description
Make small repairs and adjustments on machine as needed. Ability to lift heavy loads up to 50 lbs. with the proper body mechanics. Ability to trouble shoot. Have a working knowledge of all equipment. Pay attention to quality, checking raw materials and finished product for inconsistencies and defects. Ensure product is properly packed and sealed prior to palletizing. Ensure product is palletized correctly Have a working knowledge of codes and symbols associated with raw materials and finished product. Ensure all finished product codes are accurate and positioned correctly. Ensure the product is packaged properly in the correct packaging with the correct weights. When needed rework finished product, cutting open bags or boxes. Ensure production area is always audit ready. Ensure cleaning schedules and protocols are followed.
Forklift operations:(we certify and train in house) Properly inspect forklift at the beginning of shift
fill out forklift check list. Must keep accurate paperwork- o scribbles or scratches out. Understand julian codes and product specification sheet. Know how to properly charge an electric forklift. Bring ra'AI materials cases, pallets and cartons to production adhering to FIFO. When necessary, place correct paperwork on all outgoing shipments. Have proper knowledge of bins and totes. Exhibit teamwork and a positive attitude. Use proper driving procedures such as horns at doors and corners, look out for fellow employees. Must be fast on their feet and fast with their hands while remaining accurate.
Must be able to bend and twist with proper body mechanics. Must be able to stand on a concrete floor for 8+ hours a day. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with the proper body mechanics.
Special Requirements
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Employment may be terminated for the following reasons: Repeated absenteeism or tardiness. Violation of safety protocols. Failure to perform job duties satisfactorily. Misconduct or insubordination. Substance abuse on the job and operating machinery and vehicles.
