Job description

Feed, water, herd livestock to pasture for grazing; examine animals to detect disease and injury; Fencing repair and building, water line repair and installation; assist with vaccination of livestock by herding into corral or manually restraining animal on the range; apply medications to cuts and bruises; assist with castration; clip identifying notches on or brand animals. Must be able to ride and handle horse in a manner to assure the safety of worker, co-workers and livestock. Work is performed on the range for more than 50% of the workdays in the contract period. Exposure to extreme temp, repetitive movements, extensive pushing, pulling walking and frequent stooping Involves lifting and carrying of 50 lbs frequently

Special Requirements

Experience as range production of livestock on cattle ranch May be required to take post hire random drug and/or alcohol tests, at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. May be required to submit a post hire employer paid criminal background check. Failure to comply or felony convictions that the employer reasonably believes will impair safety of others on the worksite will result in immediate termination.
