Job description
Duties include receiving crop for drying and storage at grain storage facility; disposing of spoiled grain; transporting grain from fields to grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operating augers and grain conveying equipment; monitoring grain moisture levels; preparing scale tickets; and shoveling grain. Manual duties include performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of bins and equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain specialized machinery and equipment; and regularly servicing equipment.
Special Requirements
Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and period of occasional pushing or pulling. Random drug testing and criminal background checks may occur post-hire at the employers expense. These checks may be performed to ensure safe housing and work environments for all workers.
