Job description
Workers will process crab, multiple species of finfish, bottom fish and salmon. Work on the hand butcher line will involve use of hand and hand tools to perform routine cutting and trimming. Workers will wash, size, and grade seafood and then load processed seafood onto freezer baskets or cartons for shipping.
Special Requirements
Days and shifts will vary. Holidays, weekends, and evenings required as needed.
Two shifts: 6:00am - 6:00pm OR 6:00pm - 6:00am.
Employer reserves the right to pay a higher wage rate or bonus to any worker in their sole discretion based on performance, skill, tenure, or experience.
Up to the first three weeks of employment will include paid on the job training
Working long periods of time on their feet in cold, wet environment required.
Employer is offering up to 44 hours of overtime per week as needed, but not guaranteed.
Pre-employment drug screening required at employers expense.
Optional employer-provided housing is available for $15/day-$25/day based on Alaska State guidelines.
Transportation to and from the worksite will be provided to the worker at no cost.
Must be at least 18 years old.
